20 for 20 Alumni profiles - Alberto Noronha

As a part of the 20 for 20 series dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of Uni.lu, let us introduce you to Alberto Noronha, CEO of Nium who got his PhD at the University of Luxembourg back in 2018. Based on the results of his research, he then founded his own company which develops technologies to better understand how food and ingredients impact metabolism and health.

What was your favourite course at Uni.lu?

International Summer School on Knowledge-Driven Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

Did you learn any new languages at Uni.lu and if you did, which ones? 

Started learning French.

Most memorable sports event during your time at Uni.lu?

European Footbal Cup 2016 Final.

Which Prime Minister, member of the Royal Family, or other VIP did you take a selfie with? 

Xavier Bettel (LU), Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa (PT President), António Costa (PT Prime Minister).

What was the most important world event that happened while you were a student?

Ukrainian Revolution of 2014, ISIS War, and Crimea invasion.
