20 for 20 Alumni profiles - Dave Blackburn
Introducing another alum featured in the video series dedicated to the University's 20th Anniversary - Dave Blackburn. Dave earned his PhD at Uni.lu in 2011 and is now Dean of Continuing Education at UQO.
He shares his experience of studies on the Walferdange campus at the times of Blackberries, "Band of Brothers" and Linkin Park.

AC/DC concert at Stade de France.

US Forces Ice Hockey Championship in Garmish Partenkirchen between 2008 and 2011.
Your favourite restaurant while you were a student:
Il Mercato in Dusseldorf.

What kind of phone did you use when you were a student?
Blackberry.
One thing that happened in Luxembourg during your student time that you still remember:
The financial crisis 2008-2009.
What was the most important world event that happened while you were a student?
The war in Afghanistan.
Which Prime Minister, member of the Royal Family, or other VIP did you take a selfie with?
Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada.
Fun fact about your studies at Uni.lu:
I think I am the first Quebecer in history who obtained a PhD in social sciences from the University of Luxembourg :)
