What percentage of Uni.lu alumni are women? Answer our poll on LinkedIn and you'll find out on 15 March.

As we celebrate International Women's Day 2024, we have so many potential stories to tell that we decided to take a sharing is caring approach and share profiles of two alumni from our friends from Research Luxembourg's brilliant Women [& girls] in Science 2024 series.

Rutuja Bhusari got her PhD in Physics in 2022 and is now a Junior R&T Associate in the Structural Composites team at the LIST. "Women still don’t appear in significant numbers in STEM related fields and high-level positions, though the numbers are improving", shared Rujtuja in her interview with Research Luxembourg. Find out more about her journey below.

Gabriela Retamales got her Master's in Integrated Systems Biology, also in 2022, and is currently a Doctoral Researcher in Biotechnology at the LCSB. "How did I get here? That is a very good question. Life gives you many opportunities, and you must be brave enough to take them", stated Gabriela. Find out more about how she "got here" in the video below.
