We continue to introduce you to our alumni featured in the video series recorded by the University of Luxembourg and dedicated to its 20th Anniversary. Each alum tells you about their time at the University and what was the most exciting in their era. 

 

Next in line, Martine Hoffmann, Head of Research Department at the GERO Competence Centre of Gerontology, who earned her PhD in Psychology in 2008 at the University of Luxembourg.

 

What was your favorite class at Uni.lu? 

 

During my first year as a psychology student at the former Centre Universitaire, Biopsychology was one of my favorites.

 

The professor who you will never forget and why?

 

Prof. Dieter Ferring, I owe it to him that I found my way into research.

 

When you were not in the library (or LLC), you could be found at...

 

...the Gym :)

Most memorable student event or party:

 

Our internal after work events at the campus.

 

Your favourite restaurant while you were a student:

 

Mesa Verde for special occasions.

 

Which VIP did you take a selfie with? 

 

Dr. Jimmy Holland (a VIP in Psychooncology) who was a great inspiration to me in my dissertation project.

Your favourite bar or club in Luxembourg while you were a student:
